Then those in front told him to keep quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
And they which went before, rebuked him, that hee should holde his peace: but hee cried so much the more, Thou Sonne of Dauid, haue mercie on mee.
And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
The people leading the group warned the blind man to be quiet. But the blind man shouted even more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"

The people who were going along with Jesus told the man to be quiet. But he shouted even louder, "Son of David, have pity on me!"
Those in front scolded him in order to get him to shut up, but he shouted all the louder, "Son of David! Have pity on me!"
And those [who were] going before rebuked him that he might be silent; but *he* cried out so much the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.
The people who were in front leading the group criticized the blind man. They told him to be quiet. But he shouted more and more, "Son of David, please help me!"
And they which went before, rebuked him that he shoulde holde his peace, but he cried much more, O Sone of Dauid, haue mercie on me.
And those who were going before Jesus rebuked him, to keep quiet; but he cried the more, O son of David, have mercy on me.
The people in front scolded him and told him to be quiet. But he shouted even more loudly, "Son of David! Have mercy on me!"
And those who were in front rebuked him, that he should be silent, but he cried out even more loudly, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
And those going before rebuked him, that he be quiet. But he much more cried out, Son of David, pity me!
And they that went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
And those who were in front made protests and said to him, Be quiet: but he said all the more, O Son of David, have mercy on me.

"Be quiet!" the people in front yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
The people spoke sharp words to him and told him not to call out. But he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have pity on me."
Those who were in front sternly ordered him to be quiet; but he shouted even more loudly, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
And, they that were going before, began to rebuke him, that he might hold his peace. But, he, by so much the more, was crying out - O Son of David! have mercy upon me!
And they that went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out much more: Son of David, have mercy on me.
And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
And they which went before rebuked him that he shuld holde his peace. But he cryed so moche the moare thou sonne of David have mercy on me.
and those going before were rebuking him, that he might be silent, but he was much more crying out, `Son of David, deal kindly with me.'
But the people that wente before, rebuked him, that he shulde holde his tunge. Neuertheles he cried moch more: Thou sonne of Dauid haue mercy vpo me.
those who led the way bid him hold his tongue. but he bawl'd out the louder, son of David have pity on me.
Those ahead of Jesus told the man to shut up, but he only yelled all the louder, "Son of David! Mercy, have mercy on me!"
Now this fellow was causing a ruckus. People around him told him to sit down and shut up. But the guy only yelled louder and louder.

And they that went before,.... In the company that preceded Christ; for he, as yet, was not come right over against the blind man:
rebuked him that he should hold his peace; being not well pleased that he should call him the son of David, which was acknowledging him to be the Messiah; or that he might not be troublesome to Christ, and retard his journey:
but he cried so much the more, thou son of David, have mercy on me; he neither dropped the character of Christ, nor his request to him; but called out more loudly, and with greater vehemence, earnestness, and importunity: so persons sensible of their need of Christ, and of his worth, excellency, and ability, are not to be discouraged from an application to him, by whatsoever they meet with from men, or devils.
