It happened after the death of Avraham, that God blessed Yitzchak, his son. Yitzchak lived by Be'er-Lachai-Ro'i.
There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Avraham. Yitzchak went to Avimelekh king of the Pelishtim, to Gerar.
The LORD appeared to him, and said, "Don't go down into Mitzrayim. Dwell in the land which I will tell you of.
