"I lifted the load from his shoulder; his hands were freed from the [laborer's] basket.
Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder; I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

Has llamado en problemas - El pueblo de Israel. Éxodo 2:23; Éxodo 3:9; Éxodo 14:1.
Y te entregué - Saqué al pueblo de Egipto.
Te respondí en el lugar secreto del trueno - Es decir, en el lugar solitario, retirado y solemne donde el trueno rodó; las soledades donde no había voz sino la voz del trueno, y eso parecía provenir de los profundos recovecos de las gargantas de las montañas. La alusión es indudablemente para el Sinaí. Compare Éxodo 19:17. El significado es que dio una respuesta, una respuesta real, a su oración, en medio de las escenas solemnes del Sinaí, cuando les dio su ley; cuando los reconoció como su pueblo; cuando entró en pacto con ellos.
Te probé - Te probé; Probé tu fidelidad.
En las aguas de Meribah - Margen, como en hebreo, conflicto. Esto fue en Mount Horeb. Éxodo 17:5. La prueba, la prueba, consistió en traer agua de la roca, demostrando que él era Dios, que él era su Dios.
