THE MESSAGE
"Take the ordination ram and boil the meat in the Holy Place. At the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, Aaron and his sons will eat the boiled ram and the bread that is in the basket. Atoned by these offerings, ordained and consecrated by them, they are the only ones who are to eat them. No outsiders are to eat them; they're holy. Anything from the ordination ram or from the bread that is left over until morning you are to burn up. Don't eat it; it's holy.
New American Standard Bible (1995)
"You shall take the ram of ordination and boil its flesh in a holy place.

Contextual Overview

1"And this [is] the thing which you do to them, to hallow them, for being priests to Me: take one bullock, a son of the herd, and two rams, perfect ones, 2and unleavened bread, and unleavened cakes anointed with oil; you make them of fine wheat flour, 3and you have put them on one basket, and have brought them near in the basket, also the bullock and the two rams. 4And you bring Aaron and his sons near to the opening of the Tent of Meeting, and have bathed them with water; 5and you have taken the garments, and have clothed Aaron with the coat, and the upper robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and have girded him with the girdle of the ephod, 6and have set the turban on his head, and have put the holy crown on the turban, 7and have taken the anointing oil, and have poured [it] on his head, and have anointed him. 8And you bring his sons near, and have clothed them [with] coats, 9and have girded them [with] a girdle (Aaron and his sons), and have bound caps on them; and the priesthood has been theirs by a continuous statute, and you have consecrated the hand of Aaron, and the hand of his sons, 10and have brought the bullock near before the Tent of Meeting, and Aaron has laid—his sons also—their hands on the head of the bullock.

Gill's Notes on the Bible

And thou shalt take the ram of the consecration,.... For the other ram was cut in pieces and burnt, even the whole of it:

and seethe his flesh in the holy place; not in that part of the tabernacle which was properly the holy place, as distinguished from the holy of holies, and from the court of the tabernacle; for in that there was no convenience for boiling, but in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation, even at the door of it, as in Leviticus 8:31.

Barnes' Notes on the Bible

Exodus 29:4

Door of the tabernacle - Entrance of the tent. See Leviticus 8:3.

The “waving” was the more solemn process of the two: it was a movement several times repeated, while “heaving” was simply a “lifting up” once.

Exodus 29:33

A stranger - One of another family, i. e. in this case, one not of the family of Aaron.
