Then he said, “Let anyone who has ears to hear listen.”
And he said vnto them, He that hath eares to heare, let him heare.
And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

"Listen," He added, "every one who has ears to listen with!"
And he seide, He that hath eeris of heryng, here he.
And he said, Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
And he said to them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
And he said, "Whoever has ears to hear had better listen!"
And He said to them, [fn] "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"
Then he said, "Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand."
He said to them, "You have ears, then listen!"
And he said, "Let anyone with ears to hear listen!"
And he was saying - He that hath ears to hear, let him hear!
And he said: He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
And he said, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
And he sayde vnto them: he that hath eares to heare let him heare.
And he said to them, `He who is having ears to hear -- let him hear.'
he that hath ears to hear, said he, let him hear.
"Are you listening to this? Really listening?"
Whoever has ears should be listening."

And why? he maketh inquysicion for their bloude, and remembreth them: he forgetteth not the complaynte of the poore.
He that hydeth his synnes, shall not prospere: but who so knowlegeth them and forsaketh them, shall haue mercy.
Ye are of the father the deuell, and after the lustes of youre father wyl ye do. The same was a murthurer from the begynnynge, and abode not in the trueth: for the trueth is not in him. Whan he speaketh a lye, then speaketh he of his awne: for he is a lyar, and a father of the same.

And he said unto them,.... To the multitude of hearers that were on the sea shore attending to the word preached, and among whom, doubtless, there were all those sorts of hearers mentioned in this parable:

Verse Mark 4:9. And he said - He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. — The Codex Bezae, later Syriac in the margin, and seven copies of the Itala, add, και Î¿Ì ÏÏ Î½Î¹Ïν ÏÏ Î½Î¹ÎµÏÏ, and whoso understandeth, let him understand.
