He did what was right in the Lord’s sight and walked in all the ways of his ancestor David; he did not turn to the right or the left.
He did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and didn't turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

Josiah did what the Lord said was right. He followed God like his ancestor David. Josiah obeyed God's teachings—he did exactly what God wanted.

She returned to her father after two months. And he did what he promised the Lord and she died without having a man. So it became the way in Israel
Then he took his oldest son who was to rule in his place, and gave him as a burnt gift on the wall. And many became very angry toward Israel. They left him and returned to their own land.
Then Solomon began to build the Lord's house in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah. It was there that the Lord had shown Himself to his father David. It was the place that David had chosen, on the grain-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord,.... In the affair of religious worship especially, as well as in other things:
and walked in all the ways of David his father; in his religious ways, in which he never departed from his God:
