⁹ And on the Sabbath day, two lambes of a yere olde without spot, and two tenth deales of floure for a meate offeryng mingled with oyle, and the drynke offeryng therto. ¹⁰ This is the burnt offeryng of euery Sabbath, beside the dayly burnt offeryng, and his drynke offeryng. ¹¹ And in the begynnyng of your monethes, ye shall offer a burnt offeryng vnto the Lorde: two young bullockes, and a ramme, and seuen lambes of a yere olde without spot, ¹² And three tenth deales of floure for a meate offeryng mingled with oyle for one bullocke, and two tenth deales of floure for a meate offeryng mingled with oyle for one ramme. ¹³ And a tenth deale of floure mingled with oyle for a meate offeryng vnto one lambe, for a burnt offeryng of a sweete sauour, and a sacrifice made by fire vnto the Lorde. ¹⁴ And their drynke offerynges shalbe halfe an Hin of wine vnto one bullocke, and the thirde part of an Hin of wine vnto a ramme, and the fourth part of an Hin vnto a lambe: This is the burnt offeryng of euery moneth throughout the monethes of the yere: ¹⁵ And one hee goate for a sinne offeryng vnto the Lorde shalbe offered, besides the dayly burnt offering, and his drinke offeryng.

This is the burnt offering of every sabbath,.... Or, "of the sabbath in its sabbath" f, that is, as Jarchi observes, the burnt offering of one sabbath was not to be offered on another, but only on its own; so that if the sabbath was past, and the offering not offered, it ceased; it was not to be renewed the following sabbath; every sacrifice was to be offered in its own season, Numbers 28:2,

beside the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering; and meat offering also, over and above the two lambs of the daily sacrifice; with the offerings that were appendages to them, two other lambs, with proportionate meat and drink offerings, were offered also; the other were not to be omitted on account of these, showing that more religions service was to be performed on sabbath days than on others: it may be rendered "after" or "upon", to which sense Aben Ezra interprets it, after the daily sacrifice; because, says he, he puts upon it the burnt offering of the sabbath; which seems to confirm what has been suggested on the preceding verse, that these lambs were offered morning and evening after the daily sacrifice, and indeed there was nothing offered before that.
