Setelah sudah dikabarkan hal itu kepada Daud, dihimpunkannyalah segenap orang Israel, lalu menyeberang Yarden langsung ke Helam. Maka orang Syam itu mengaturkan ikatan perangnya berhadapan dengan Daud, lalu berperanglah mereka itu dengan baginda.
