Bring back the young man Absalom." 21 Then the king said to Joab, "All right! I will do this thing! So Joab arose and went to Geshur,.... Where Absalom was with his grandfather, the king of the place; see 2 Samuel 13:37;

and brought Absalom to Jerusalem; from thence, which, according to Bunting t, was the distance of eighty eight miles from it.
