¹After this, David defeated the Philistines, subdued them, and took Gath and its surrounding villages from Philistine control. ¹ After this it happened, that David struck the Pelishtim, and subdued them, and took Gat and its towns out of the hand of the Pelishtim. ¹ Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines. ¹ After this David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and he took Gath and its villages out of the hand of the Philistines. ¹ Later, David defeated the Philistines, conquered them, and took the city of Gath and the small towns around it. ¹ Later David defeated the Philistines and subdued them.
