12 ایلیا در جواب‌ ایشان‌ گفت‌: «اگر من‌ مرد خدا هستم‌، آتش‌ از آسمان‌ نازل‌ شده‌، تو را و پنجاه‌ نفرت‌ را بسوزاند.» پس‌ آتش‌ خدا از آسمان‌ نازل‌ شده‌، او را و پنجاه‌ نفرش‌ را بسوخت‌.
