Verse 1

Before the work commences, they are reminded of the commandment as to the six days and the seventh, even in the making of the Tabernacle.

children = sons.

the LORD. Hebrew. Jehovah. App-4.


Verse 2

sabbath of rest. Hebrew "sabbath of sabbatizing". See note on Exodus 16:23.


Verse 4

commanded. See Exodus 25:1, &c.


Verse 5

an offering. Note the Figure of speech Polysyndeton (App-6), em phasising the 15 (3 x 5) articles in verses: Exodus 35:5-9 (App-10). Hebrew = heave offering. See note on Exodus 29:27, and App-43. willing heart.
