1 Kings 7:17 — nets = frames, or net- or lattice-work. These are included in the five cubits here and in 2 Chronicles 3:15 , but not in 2 Kings 25:17 .

2 Chronicles 25:1 — Amaziah. Compare 2 Kings 14:1-3 . Complementary to Kings (see App-56 ); verses: 2 Chronicles 25:5-10 and verses: 2 Chronicles 25:13-16 are additional.

2 Chronicles 9:28 — horses. Yet horses out of Egypt had a leading part in destroying Judah. Compare 2 Chronicles 12:3 , 2Ch 12:4 , 2 Chronicles 12:9 . Psalms 33:17 .

Psalms 110:7 — of = from. The verse begins with this word (Hebrew = M = from), and thus corresponds with the "from" of Psalms 110:3 (member M, above). the head = [his] head.

Proverbs 5:2 — regard discretion, &c. Hebrew infinitive = to guard deep counsels and knowledge. Let them mount guard over thy lips. Compare James 3:8 , "the tongue can no man tame".

Isaiah 19:10 — purposes: or, foundations. Compare Psalms 11:3 . make sluices. fish: or, work for wages shall be grieved in soul. fish = souls Hebrew. nephesh, App-13 . margin, "living things".

Isaiah 30:12 — trust = confide. Hebrew. b a t ah ( App-69 .) Not the same word as in verses: Isaiah 30:2 , Isaiah 30:3 . Same as in Isaiah 30:15 .

Isaiah 9:13 — turneth not. Reference to Pentateuch (Deuteronomy 4:29 , Deuteronomy 4:30 ). the Lord Hebrew. Jehovah. with 'eth = Jehovah Himself. App-4 . See note on 1 Samuel 1:3 .
