Proverbs 14:12 — seemeth right = is pleasing. It only "seems" right, Illustrations: Jeroboam (1 Kings 12:27-33 ; 1 Kings 14:7-11 . Isaiah 26:18 — neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen = nor did the inhabitants of the world come to the light: i.e. by being born. The Hebrew naphal, to fall, is used of birth, as Hebrew. nephel occurs only in Job 3:16 . Psalms 58:8 . Ecclesiastes 6:3 . world = the inhabited world. Hebrew. tebel.

Micah 4:11 — Now = Meanwhile: as in Micah 4:10 ; Micah 5:1 . Referring to the then immediately impending hostility. many nations. Compare Isaiah 33:3 .Lamentations 2:16 . Obadiah 1:11-13 . eye. So some codices, with two early printed editions, Aramaean, Syriac, and Vulgate; but Hebrew text reads "eyes". Compare Psalms 54:3 .
Malachi 2:12 — man. Hebrew. 'ish. App-14 . the master and the scholar = wakener and answerer. Referring to the Temple watchers (Psalms 134:1 ). tabernacles = tents. offereth = bringeth near. Matthew 12:46 — talked = was talking. people = multitudes. stood = were standing. desiring to speak = seeking to speak. Their avowed purpose. But in Mark 3:21 , Mark 3:31 their real purpose was to "lay hold on Him", and the reason is given: "for they said ' He is beside Himself '". This accounts for the Lord's answer.
Matthew 14:36 — hem = border, or fringes. Compare Matthew 9:20 . made perfectly whole = completely saved or healed. Greek. diasozo = to save throughout. Occurs eight times (Luke 7:3 .Acts 23:24 ; Acts 27:43 , Acts 27:44 ; Acts 28:1 , Acts 28:4 ; 1 Peter 3:20 ). All are interesting and used of bodily saving.
Deuteronomy 21:7 — he. Compare Genesis 49:3 . strength. Hebrew. 'avon. Homonym = strength, here and Genesis 49:3 and Job 31:25 (Authorized Version "wealth"); but = suffering, &c, in Genesis 35:18 (margin) Deuteronomy 26:14 , and Hosea 9:4 . his. Some codices, with Samaritan Pentateuch, Targum of Onkelos, Septuagint, Syriac, and Vulgate, read "his therefore".
Deuteronomy 3:29 — Beth-peor = the house (or temple) of Peor, where Baal was worshipped (Numbers 23:28 ; Numbers 25:3 .Numbers 4:3 , Here Moses was buried (Deuteronomy 34:6 ). It was a Moabite holy place (Numbers 25:18 ; Num 25:31 , Numbers 25:16 . Joshua 22:17 ). Allotted to Reuben (Joshua 13:20 ).
