Iconium -- The capital of Lyconia.

Lystra -- Located twenty miles from Iconium, the home of Timothy.

Gods are come down -- Legend that before this Zeus and Hermes had come to Lystra and no one recognized nor honored them. The other gods critized Lystra for it. Apparently didn’t want to let this happen again.

apostles Barnabas -- Barnabas was an "apostle" or "messenger" of the church at Antioch being "sent out" by them. Acts 13:1-3]
