Verses 15-17

Jesus blesses little children

Matthew 19:13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put [his] hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. Mark 10:13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and [his] disciples rebuked those that brought [them]. Luke 18:15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when [his] disciples saw [it], they rebuked them.
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Mark 10:14 But when Jesus saw [it], he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Luke 18:16 But Jesus called them [unto him], and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Mark 10:15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. Luke 18:17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
Matthew 19:15 And he laid [his] hands on them, and departed thence. Mark 10:16 And he took them up in his arms, put [his] hands upon them, and blessed them.

Jesus speaks to the rich young man

Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? Luke 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God. Luke 18:19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none [is] good, save one, [that is], God.
Matthew 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Matthew 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Mark 10:20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. Luke 18:21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go [and] sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come [and] follow me. Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. Luke 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
Matthew 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Mark 10:22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. Luke 18:23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
Matthew 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. Mark 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! Luke 18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
Mark 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
Matthew 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Mark 10:25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Luke 18:25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Matthew 19:25 When his disciples heard [it], they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? Mark 10:26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? Luke 18:26 And they that heard [it] said, Who then can be saved?
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Mark 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men [it is] impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. Luke 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Matthew 19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? Mark 10:28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. Luke 18:28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, Mark 10:29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, Luke 18:29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. Mark 10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. Luke 18:30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
Matthew 19:30 But many [that are] first shall be last; and the last [shall be] first. Mark 10:31 But many [that are] first shall be last; and the last first.

Verses 31-34

Jesus predicts his death the third time

Matthew 20:17 And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, Mark 10:32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him, Luke 18:31 Then he took [unto him] the twelve, and said unto them,
Matthew 20:18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, Mark 10:33 [Saying], Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles: Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
Matthew 20:19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, Mark 10:34 And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, Luke 18:32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
and to crucify [him]: and the third day he shall rise again. and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again. Luke 18:33 And they shall scourge [him], and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.


Luke 18:34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

Matthew 20:29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. Mark 10:46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, Luke 18:35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho,
Matthew 20:30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:


Luke 18:36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
when they heard that Jesus passed by, Mark 10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, Luke 18:37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, [thou] Son of David. he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, [thou] Son of David, have mercy on me. Luke 18:38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, [thou] Son of David, have mercy on me.
Matthew 20:31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, [thou] Son of David. Mark 10:48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, [Thou] Son of David, have mercy on me. Luke 18:39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, [Thou] Son of David, have mercy on me.
Matthew 20:32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, Mark 10:49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. Luke 18:40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him:

Mark 10:50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. and when he was come near, he asked him,
and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? Mark 10:51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? Luke 18:41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee?
Matthew 20:33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
Matthew 20:34 So Jesus had compassion [on them], and touched their eyes: Mark 10:52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. Luke 18:42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. Luke 18:43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw [it], gave praise unto God.
