Psalms 143

Verses 1-12

Psalm 144:3 LORD, what is Prayer of Manasseh , that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of Prayer of Manasseh , that thou makest account of him!

Psalm 144:3Scripture Reference- Note a similar passage:

Psalm 8:4, "What is Prayer of Manasseh , that thou art mindful of him? and the son of Prayer of Manasseh , that thou visitest him?"

Psalm 144:11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:

Psalm 144:11 — "and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood" - Comments- Men use their right hand in making promises and vows, with a handshake or by taking an oath. Therefore, a man who breaks his vow would have given his right hand in falsehood.

Psalm 144:12-14Comments - The Purpose of War- In Psalm 144:1 God teaches us to make war. Psalm 144:12-14 shows us the righteous purpose of war, which is to bring peace and prosperity to a nation.
