American Tract Society Bible Dictionary
A city in the mountains of Judah, surrounded by fat pastures, and formerly occupied by the Amalekites, 1 Chronicles 4:39; 12:7; Joshua 15:58 . It is now called Jedur, and lies about eight miles southwest of Bethlehem. Gedor is also the name of a man, 1 Chronicles 8:31; 9:37 .
