Lattice

Additional Links
A structure of crisscrossed strips. Lattices were used as window covering to allow some light to penetrate while keeping heat and rain to a minimum (Judges 5:28; 2 Kings 1:2; Proverbs 7:6 , KJV casement; Song of Song of Solomon 2:9 ). According to one interpretation, in Ezekiel's Temple vision the windows were latticed (Ezekiel 41:16 ,Ezekiel 41:16,41:26 , NAS). Other translations describe the windows as covered. The NAS also spoke of the lattices of the doves (Isaiah 60:8 ). Other translations use home (TEV), nests (NIV), dovecots (REB), or windows (KJV, NRSV).
