1. The mountain on which Aaron died when the Israelites were near the end of their wanderings. Numbers 20:22-28; Numbers 21:4; Numbers 33:37-41; Deuteronomy 32:50 . Identified with Jebel Neby Harun, about 30 18' N, 35 25' E . It is the range of mountains on the eastern side of the wady Arabah; from which the scene of mountain peaks is described as awfully majestic.
2. A mount on the northern boundary of the land. Numbers 34:7,8 . Probably one of the peaks of Lebanon, but not identified.
