Behold, this day you have seen with your own eyes - that the LORD ... delivered you into my hand in the cave. I was told to kill you, but I spared you and said, 'I will not lift my hand against my lord, since he is the LORD''s anointed.'

Behold this day your eyes have seen how the Lord gave you today into my hand in the cave And some told me to kill you but I spared you I said I will not put out my hand against my lord for he is the Lord anointed

You can see with your own eyes that the Lord handed you over to me today in the cave. Someone advised me to kill you, but I took pity on you and said: I won't lift my hand against my lord, since he is the Lord's anointed.

Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said (8799), I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD'S anointed.
