וַיֹּאמְר֥וּ

of the prophets

han·nə·ḇî·’îm

הַנְּבִיאִ֖ים

ham·mā·qō·wm,

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā

is too strait

hay·yar·dên,

הַיַּרְדֵּ֗ן

and let us make

wə·na·‘ă·śeh-

we may dwell

And he answered

your servants

‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā;

And he answered

And when they came

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙

hay·yar·dê·nāh,

הַיַּרְדֵּ֔נָה

and they cut down

way·yiḡ·zə·rū

וַֽיִּגְזְר֖וּ

haq·qō·w·rāh,

and he cried

was borrowed

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

and it? And he showed him

way·yar·’ê·hū

וַיַּרְאֵ֙הוּ֙

ham·mā·qō·wm,

And he cut down

way·yiq·ṣāḇ-

way·yaš·leḵ-

וַיַּשְׁלֶךְ־

and did swim [it]

and the iron

hab·bar·zel.

הַבַּרְזֶֽל׃

Therefore said

And he put out

וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח

way·yiq·qā·ḥê·hū.

וַיִּקָּחֵֽהוּ׃

Then the king

against Israel

bə·yiś·rā·’êl;

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

and took counsel

way·yiw·wā·‘aṣ

וַיִּוָּעַץ֙

his servants

[shall be] my camp

ta·ḥă·nō·ṯî.

תַּחֲנֹתִֽי׃

וַיִּשְׁלַ֞ח

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm,

that you pass not

ham·mā·qō·wm

וַיִּשְׁלַ֞ח

ham·mā·qō·wm

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

[wə·hiz·hî·rāh

[וְהִזְהִירָהּ

(wə·hiz·hî·rōw

(וְהִזְהִירֹ֖ו

and saved himself

and was very troubled

way·yis·sā·‘êr

וַיִּסָּעֵר֙

Therefore the heart

and he called

his servants

Will you not

miš·šel·lā·nū

מִשֶּׁלָּ֖נוּ

of us is for the king

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

of his servants

mê·‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw,

מֵֽעֲבָדָ֔יו

[is] in Israel

bə·yiś·rā·’êl,

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

had·də·ḇā·rîm,

הַ֨דְּבָרִ֔ים

in your bedroom

miš·kā·ḇe·ḵā.

מִשְׁכָּבֶֽךָ׃

and [is] that I may send

and fetch him

wə·’eq·qā·ḥê·hū;

וְאֶקָּחֵ֑הוּ

And it was told

way·yug·gaḏ-

[he is] in Dothan

Therefore sent

way·yiš·laḥ-

וַיִּשְׁלַח־

and chariots

and they came

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

and compassed

way·yaq·qi·p̄ū

וַיַּקִּ֖פוּ

וַ֠יַּשְׁכֵּם

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

הָֽאֱלֹהִים֮

and gone forth

and both with horses

and chariots

And he answered

than they who

way·yiṯ·pal·lêl

וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֤ל

that he may see

way·yip̄·qaḥ

of the young man

the mountain [was]

and chariots

when they came down

way·yê·rə·ḏū

and prayed him

way·yiṯ·pal·lêl

וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֨ל

with blindness

bas·san·wê·rîm;

בַּסַּנְוֵרִ֑ים

And he struck them

with blindness

bas·san·wê·rîm

בַּסַּנְוֵרִ֖ים

according to the word

[is] the way

and I will bring

wə·’ō·w·lî·ḵāh

וְאוֹלִ֣יכָה

tə·ḇaq·qê·šūn;

תְּבַקֵּשׁ֑וּן

šō·mə·rō·w·nāh.

שֹׁמְרֽוֹנָה׃

when it came to pass

into Samaria

[men] that they may see

way·yip̄·qaḥ

and they saw

[they were] in the middle

šō·mə·rō·wn.

shall I strike

[them]? shall I strike them

And he answered

you have taken captive

with your sword

bə·ḥar·bə·ḵā

בְּחַרְבְּךָ֥

and with your bow

ū·ḇə·qaš·tə·ḵā

וּֽבְקַשְׁתְּךָ֖

[them] strike

lip̄·nê·hem,

that they may eat

וְיֹֽאכְלוּ֙

וְיִשְׁתּ֔וּ

their master

’ă·ḏō·nê·hem.

אֲדֹנֵיהֶֽם׃

And he prepared

ḡə·ḏō·w·lāh,

when they had eaten

way·yō·ḵə·lū

וַיֹּֽאכְלוּ֙

וַיִּשְׁתּ֔וּ

and he sent them away

way·šal·lə·ḥêm,

וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֵ֔ם

and they went

way·yê·lə·ḵū

their master

’ă·ḏō·nê·hem;

אֲדֹֽנֵיהֶ֑ם

So the bands

into the land

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And it came to pass

and gathered

וַיִּקְבֹּ֛ץ

that Ben-hadad

ma·ḥă·nê·hū;

and besieged

šō·mə·rō·wn.

And there was

bə·šō·mə·rō·wn,

בְּשֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹן

they besieged

בִּשְׁמֹנִ֣ים

[pieces] of silver

and the fourth part

[ḥă·rê·yō·w·nîm

[חֲרֵייֹונִים

(diḇ·yō·w·nîm

(דִּבְיֹונִ֖ים

ba·ḥă·miš·šāh-

בַּחֲמִשָּׁה־

[pieces] of silver

hō·wō·šî·‘āh

yō·wō·ši·‘êḵ

If the LORD you

shall I help you

’ō·wō·šî·‘êḵ;

אֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֑ךְ

the barn floor

thee? out of

the winepress

ails thee? And she answered

that we may eat him

wə·nō·ḵə·len·nū

וְנֹאכְלֶ֣נּוּ

so we boiled

wan·nə·ḇaš·šêl

וַנְּבַשֵּׁ֥ל

wan·nō·ḵə·lê·hū;

וַנֹּֽאכְלֵ֑הוּ

to her on the next

that we may eat

wə·nō·ḵə·len·nū,

וְנֹ֣אכְלֶ֔נּוּ

and she has hid

וַתַּחְבִּ֖א

And it came to pass

When the king

of the women

that he tore

[he had] sackcloth

Then he said

we·’ĕ·lî·šā‘

וֶאֱלִישָׁע֙

in his house

and the elders

wə·haz·zə·qê·nîm

וְהַזְּקֵנִ֖ים

וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח

from his presence

mil·lə·p̄ā·nāw,

מִלְּפָנָ֗יו

the messenger

הַמַּלְאָ֨ךְ

haz·zə·qê·nîm,

הַזְּקֵנִ֗ים

har·rə·’î·ṯem

הַרְּאִיתֶם֙

of a murderer

ham·raṣ·ṣê·aḥ

הַֽמְרַצֵּ֤חַ

when the messenger

ham·mal·’āḵ,

הַמַּלְאָ֗ךְ

and hold him fast

ū·lə·ḥaṣ·tem

וּלְחַצְתֶּ֤ם

[is] the sound

of his master

while he yet

the messenger

הַמַּלְאָ֖ךְ

[is] the LORD

should I wait

for the LORD
