wə·na·‘ă·mān

וַיִּשְׁבּ֛וּ

from the land

גְּבִרְתָּ֔הּ

מִצָּרַעְתּֽוֹ׃

מִצָּרַעְתּֽוֹ׃

And it came to pass

When the king

that he tore

ha·’ĕ·lō·hîm

that to make alive

ū·lə·ha·ḥă·yō·wṯ,

וּֽלְהַחֲי֔וֹת

man does send

of his leprosy

miṣ·ṣā·ra‘·tōw;

מִצָּֽרַעְתּ֑וֹ

seeks a quarrel

כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ ׀

[so] when Elisha

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm,

that the king

that he sent

וַיִּשְׁלַח֙

have you tore

your clothes

bə·ḡā·ḏe·ḵā;

let him come

that he shall know

bə·yiś·rā·’êl.

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

with his horses

(בְּסוּסָ֣יו

and with his chariot

ū·ḇə·riḵ·bōw;

וּבְרִכְבּ֑וֹ

way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ

of the house

le·’ĕ·lî·šā‘.

לֶאֱלִישָֽׁע׃

וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח

wə·rā·ḥaṣ·tā

וְרָחַצְתָּ֤

in the Jordan

bay·yar·dên,

בַּיַּרְדֵּ֔ן

and shall come again

and you shall be clean

But was angry

way·yiq·ṣōp̄

and went away

He will surely

ham·mā·qō·wm

ham·mə·ṣō·rā‘.

הַמְּצֹרָֽע׃

and be clean

wə·ṭā·hā·rə·tî;

וְטָהָ֑רְתִּי

so he turned

and went away

And came near

way·yig·gə·šū

וַיִּגְּשׁ֣וּ

his servants

way·ḏab·bə·rū

וַיְדַבְּר֣וּ

way·yō·mə·rū,

וַיֹּאמְר֗וּ

[do some] you great

[if] the prophet

would you not

do have done [it]

how much rather

and be clean

and Then went he down

וַיִּטְבֹּ֤ל

in the Jordan

בַּיַּרְדֵּן֙

himself seven

according to the word

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm;

and came again

like to the flesh

and he was clean

way·yiṭ·hār.

וַיִּטְהָֽר׃

And he returned

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

ma·ḥă·nê·hū,

way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ

יָדַ֙עְתִּי֙

[there is] God

bə·yiś·rā·’êl;

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

your servant

[As] the LORD

I will receive

And he urged

way·yip̄·ṣar-

to take [it]

but he refused

to your servant

lə·‘aḇ·də·ḵā,

לְעַבְדְּךָ֔

will from now on

your servant

burnt offering

nor sacrifice

your servant

lə·‘aḇ·de·ḵā;

לְעַבְדֶּ֑ךָ

[that] when my master

into the house

lə·hiš·ta·ḥă·wōṯ

לְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹ֨ת

wə·hiš·ta·ḥă·wê·ṯî

וְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֵ֙יתִי֙

myself in the house

when I bow down myself

bə·hiš·ta·ḥă·wā·yā·ṯî

בְּהִשְׁתַּחֲוָיָ֙תִי֙

myself in the house

I beseech thee

your servant

lə·‘aḇ·də·ḵā

לְעַבְדְּךָ֖

lə·šā·lō·wm;

so he departed

from him some

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

hā·’ă·ram·mî

הָֽאֲרַמִּי֙

by not receiving

from his hands

[as] the LORD

wə·lā·qaḥ·tî

וְלָקַחְתִּ֥י

way·yir·dōp̄

וַיִּרְדֹּ֥ף

[him] running

he came to down

ham·mer·kā·ḇāh

הַמֶּרְכָּבָ֛ה

hă·šā·lō·wm.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ׀

[is] All well

there be come

to me from the hill

of the prophets

han·nə·ḇî·’îm;

הַנְּבִיאִ֑ים

ḥă·li·p̄ō·wṯ

kik·kā·rā·yim;

כִּכָּרָ֑יִם

And he urged

way·yip̄·rāṣ-

and adversary

kik·kə·ra·yim

כִּכְּרַ֨יִם

and with two

ḥă·li·p̄ō·wṯ

of his servants

and they bore

וַיִּשְׂא֖וּ

[them] before

when he came

[them] from their hand

and bestowed

way·yip̄·qōḏ

[them] in the house

וַיְשַׁלַּ֥ח

he let the men

hā·’ă·nā·šîm

הָאֲנָשִׁ֖ים

and they departed

way·yê·lê·ḵū.

וַיֵּלֵֽכוּ׃

way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ

your servant

Did not my heart him

turned again

[with thee] the man

מֶרְכַּבְתּ֖וֹ

liq·rā·ṯe·ḵā;

לִקְרָאתֶ֑ךָ

[Is it] thee? a time

and to receive

wə·lā·qa·ḥaṯ

and olive groves

and vineyards

and menservants

wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm

and maidservants

ū·šə·p̄ā·ḥō·wṯ.

וּשְׁפָחֽוֹת׃

and The leprosy

wə·ṣā·ra·‘aṯ

therefore of Naaman

shall cleave

and to your offspring

ū·ḇə·zar·‘ă·ḵā

וּֽבְזַרְעֲךָ

lə·‘ō·w·lām;

And he went out

from his presence

mil·lə·p̄ā·nāw

מִלְּפָנָ֖יו

[as white] as snow

כַּשָּֽׁלֶג׃
