וֶאֱלִישָׁ֡ע

for the LORD

פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים

And it came to pass

at the seven

that returned

from the land

of the Philistines

פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים

and she went forth

And the king

wə·ham·me·leḵ,

וְהַמֶּ֗לֶךְ

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

great things

hag·gə·ḏō·lō·wṯ

הַגְּדֹל֖וֹת

And it came to pass

As he was relating

he had restored to life

the one who was dead

restored to life

[is] the women

[is] her son

restored to life

וַיִּשְׁאַ֥ל

and she told

wat·tə·sap·per-

וַתְּסַפֶּר־

and appointed

way·yit·ten-

to her a certain

of the field

from the day

that she left

and even until

and it was told

way·yug·gaḏ-

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

ḥă·zā·h·’êl,

in your hand

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm;

wə·ḏā·raš·tā

וְדָרַשְׁתָּ֨

Shall I recover

in his hand him

even of every

אַרְבָּעִ֣ים

way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ

Shall I recover

You will surely

and has showed

wə·hir·’a·nî

וְהִרְאַ֥נִי

however the LORD

me that he shall surely

And he settled

way·ya·‘ă·mêḏ

his countenance

and steadfastly

he was ashamed

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm.

הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃

And he answered

their strongholds

miḇ·ṣə·rê·hem

מִבְצְרֵיהֶ֞ם

will you set

and their young men

ū·ḇa·ḥu·rê·hem

וּבַחֻֽרֵיהֶם֙

with the sword

will you slay

and their children

wə·‘ō·lə·lê·hem

וְעֹלְלֵיהֶ֣ם

and their women with child

wə·hā·rō·ṯê·hem

וְהָרֹתֵיהֶ֖ם

tə·ḇaq·qê·a‘.

תְּבַקֵּֽעַ׃

ḥă·zā·h·’êl,

[is] your servant

he should do

hag·gā·ḏō·wl

And answered

[shalt be] me that you king

so he departed

וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ ׀

and who said

and to thee? And he answered

[that] me [that] you should surely

And it came to pass

On the following

mim·mā·ḥo·rāṯ,

מִֽמָּחֳרָ֗ת

that he took

a thick cloth

הַמַּכְבֵּר֙

and dipped [it]

וַיִּטְבֹּ֣ל

and spread [it]

way·yip̄·rōś

וַיִּפְרֹ֥שׂ

so that he died

וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ

in his place

תַּחְתָּֽיו׃

and in the year

wî·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ

וִיהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט

[being] then king

began to reign

of Jehoshaphat

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ

יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט

וּשְׁתַּ֛יִם

he when he began to reign

ḇə·mā·lə·ḵōw;

in Jerusalem

bî·rū·šā·lim.

בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

And he walked

בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ ׀

of the kings

as the house

the daughter

in the sight

Yet the LORD

לְהַשְׁחִ֣ית

to the end that

of his servant

to him through his sons

way·yam·li·ḵū

וַיַּמְלִ֥כוּ

so went over

way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr

the chariots

the Edomites

that compassed him about

the captains

of the chariots

to their tents

lə·’ō·hā·lāw.

לְאֹהָלָֽיו׃

and revolted

way·yip̄·ša‘

וַיִּפְשַׁ֣ע

And the rest

of the Chronicles

of the Kings

וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב

and was buried

way·yiq·qā·ḇêr

וַיִּקָּבֵ֥ר

וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ

’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū

אֲחַזְיָ֥הוּ

in his place

תַּחְתָּֽיו׃

begin to reign

’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū

אֲחַזְיָ֥הוּ

וּשְׁתַּ֤יִם

’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū

אֲחַזְיָ֣הוּ

when he began to reign

ḇə·mā·lə·ḵōw,

in Jerusalem

bî·rū·šā·lim;

בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

of his mother

[was] Athaliah

‘ă·ṯal·yā·hū,

עֲתַלְיָ֔הוּ

the daughter

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And he walked

of the house

in the sight

[did] as the house

the son-in-law

of the house

lam·mil·ḥā·māh

לַמִּלְחָמָ֛ה

at Ramoth-gilead

and went back

to be healed

lə·hiṯ·rap·pê

לְהִתְרַפֵּ֣א

ḇə·yiz·rə·‘el,

בְיִזְרְעֶ֗אל

on him at Ramah

when he fought

bə·hil·lā·ḥă·mōw,

בְּהִלָּ֣חֲמ֔וֹ

wa·’ă·ḥaz·yā·hū

וַאֲחַזְיָ֨הוּ

bə·yiz·rə·‘el

בְּיִזְרְעֶ֖אל
