וַיֵּ֨לְכ֜וּ

hab·bə·’ê·rō·ṯî

הַבְּאֵֽרֹתִי֙

ū·ḇa·‘ă·nāh,

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙

of Ish-bosheth

haṣ·ṣā·ho·rā·yim.

הַֽצָּהֳרָֽיִם׃

וַיַּכֻּ֖הוּ

and [rib] and Rechab

For when they came

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

into the house

in his bedroom

מִשְׁכָּב֔וֹ

and they struck him

וַיַּכֻּ֙הוּ֙

and slew him

way·mi·ṯu·hū,

וַיְמִתֻ֔הוּ

and beheaded

way·yā·sî·rū

וַיָּסִ֖ירוּ

his head him

and got them away

way·yê·lə·ḵū

וַיֵּֽלְכ֛וּ

hā·‘ă·rā·ḇāh

hal·lā·yə·lāh.

הַלָּֽיְלָה׃

And they brought

way·yā·ḇi·’ū

of Ish-bosheth

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙

of Ish-bosheth

and has avenged

and of his offspring

ū·miz·zar·‘ōw.

וּמִזַּרְעֽוֹ׃

And answered

hab·bə·’ê·rō·ṯî

הַבְּאֵֽרֹתִ֖י

has redeemed

brought good news

כִמְבַשֵּׂר֙

and I took hold

wā·’ō·ḥă·zāh

and slew him

wā·’eh·rə·ḡê·hū

וָאֶהְרְגֵ֖הוּ

בְּצִֽקְלָ֑ג

[yought] that I would have given

a reward for his news

How much more

in his own house

מִשְׁכָּב֑וֹ

therefore now

from your hand

and take you away

וּבִעַרְתִּ֥י

of your hand

And commanded

his young men

han·nə·‘ā·rîm

הַנְּעָרִ֜ים

and they slew them

way·ya·har·ḡūm,

וַיַּהַרְג֗וּם

way·qaṣ·ṣə·ṣū

וַֽיְקַצְּצ֤וּ

[them] and hanged up

hab·bə·rê·ḵāh

bə·ḥeḇ·rō·wn;

בְּחֶבְר֑וֹן

of Ish-bosheth

But they took

and buried [it]

way·yiq·bə·rū

וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ

in the sepulcher

bə·ḥeḇ·rō·wn.

בְּחֶבְרֽוֹן׃
