וַ֠יִּשְׁלַח

and carpenters

וְחָֽרָשֵׁ֖י

and they build

וַיִּבְנֽוּ־

And perceived

that the LORD him

he had exalted

mam·laḵ·tōw,

מַמְלַכְתּ֔וֹ

for the sake

for his people

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

[him] concubines

פִּֽלַגְשִׁ֤ים

from Jerusalem

mî·rū·šā·lim,

מִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

mê·ḥeḇ·rō·wn;

way·yiw·wā·lə·ḏū

וַיִּוָּ֥לְדוּ

there were yet

and daughers

And these [are]

of those who were born

hay·yil·lō·ḏîm

הַיִּלֹּדִ֥ים

in Jerusalem

bî·rū·šā·lim;

בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

wə·šō·w·ḇāḇ,

ū·šə·lō·mōh.

וּשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃

we·’ĕ·lî·šū·a‘

וֶאֱלִישׁ֖וּעַ

wə·yā·p̄î·a‘.

And Elishama

we·’ĕ·lî·šā·mā‘

וֶאֱלִישָׁמָ֥ע

wə·’el·yā·ḏā‘

וְאֶלְיָדָ֖ע

and Eliphalet

we·’ĕ·lî·p̄ā·leṭ.

וֶאֱלִיפָֽלֶט׃

way·yiš·mə·‘ū

וַיִּשְׁמְע֣וּ

when the Philistines

p̄ə·liš·tîm,

פְלִשְׁתִּ֗ים

they had anointed

way·ya·‘ă·lū

פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים

וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע

[of it] and went down

ham·mə·ṣū·ḏāh.

הַמְּצוּדָֽה׃

and The Philistines

ū·p̄ə·liš·tîm

וּפְלִשְׁתִּ֖ים

way·yin·nā·ṭə·šū

וַיִּנָּטְשׁ֖וּ

in the valley

And inquired

וַיִּשְׁאַ֨ל

Shall I go up

ha·’e·‘ĕ·leh

the Philistines

פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים

will you deliver them

hă·ṯit·tə·nêm

into my hand

I will certainly

the Philistines

hap·pə·liš·tîm

הַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים

into your hand

bə·yā·ḏe·ḵā.

to Baal-perazim

and struck them

has broken forth on

as the breach

ham·mā·qō·wm

And they left

way·ya·‘az·ḇū-

וַיַּעַזְבוּ־

their images

‘ă·ṣab·bê·hem;

עֲצַבֵּיהֶ֑ם

way·yiś·śā·’êm

וַיִּשָּׂאֵ֥ם

wa·’ă·nā·šāw.

וַאֲנָשָֽׁיו׃

way·yō·si·p̄ū

the Philistines

פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים

la·‘ă·lō·wṯ;

way·yin·nā·ṭə·šū

וַיִּנָּֽטְשׁ֖וּ

in the valley

when inquired

וַיִּשְׁאַ֤ל

[but] fetch a edge

’a·ḥă·rê·hem,

אַ֣חֲרֵיהֶ֔ם

of the balsam

when you hear

of the mulberry trees

הַבְּכָאִ֖ים

you shall bestir

shall go out

lə·hak·kō·wṯ

bə·ma·ḥă·nêh

of the Philistines

p̄ə·liš·tîm.
