wə·hiṯ·‘al·lam·tā

וְהִתְעַלַּמְתָּ֖

yourself from them you shall in any case

bring them again

to your countryman

lə·’ā·ḥî·ḵā.

then you shall bring

wa·’ă·sap̄·tōw

וַאֲסַפְתּוֹ֙

to your house

and it shall be

your brother

[is] and you shall restore

wa·hă·šê·ḇō·ṯōw

וַהֲשֵׁבֹת֖וֹ

and In like manner

shall you do

with his donkey

la·ḥă·mō·rōw,

shall you do

with his garment

lə·śim·lā·ṯōw

לְשִׂמְלָתוֹ֒

and likewise

shall you do

with anything

of your brother

and you have found

ū·mə·ṣā·ṯāh;

וּמְצָאתָ֑הּ

lə·hiṯ·‘al·lêm.

לְהִתְעַלֵּֽם׃

of your brother

and hide yourself

wə·hiṯ·‘al·lam·tā

וְהִתְעַלַּמְתָּ֖

shall surely help him to lift up again

[them] help him to lift [them] up again

that which pertains

shall put on

of on a woman

chance to be

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā

[whether they be] young ones

and the mother

hā·’ep̄·rō·ḥîm,

הָֽאֶפְרֹחִ֔ים

[But] you shall in any way

let the mother

to the end that

it may be well

and you may prolong

wə·ha·’ă·raḵ·tā

וְהַאֲרַכְתָּ֖

then you shall make

a battlement

for your roof

lə·ḡag·ge·ḵā;

do you bring

on your house

bə·ḇê·ṯe·ḵā,

your vineyard

of your offspring

you have sown

and the fruit

of your vineyard

and a donkey

a garment of divers sorts

שַֽׁעַטְנֵ֔ז

[as] of wool

וּפִשְׁתִּ֖ים

you shall make

of your garment

ū·śə·nê·’āh.

וּשְׂנֵאָֽהּ׃

and bring up

בְּתוּלִֽים׃

Then shall take

of the young woman

(han·na·‘ă·rāh

(הַֽנַּעֲרָ֖ה

and her mother

and bring forth

wə·hō·w·ṣî·’ū

וְהוֹצִ֜יאוּ

of the damsel

(han·na·‘ă·rāh

(הַֽנַּעֲרָ֛ה

haš·šā·‘ə·rāh.

הַשָּֽׁעְרָה׃

and shall say

of the damsel

(han·na·‘ă·rāh

(הַֽנַּעֲרָ֖ה

haz·zə·qê·nîm;

הַזְּקֵנִ֑ים

and he hates

way·yiś·nā·’e·hā.

וַיִּשְׂנָאֶֽהָ׃

[against her] saying

your daughter

lə·ḇit·tə·ḵā

and yet these

of my daughter

and they shall spread

וּפָֽרְשׂוּ֙

haś·śim·lāh,

הַשִּׂמְלָ֔ה

And shall take

of that city

and chastise

wə·yis·sə·rū

And they shall amerce

in a hundred

[shekels] of silver

[them] to the father

of the young woman

han·na·‘ă·rāh,

הַֽנַּעֲרָ֔ה

he has brought up

she shall be

put her away

lə·šal·lə·ḥāh

לְשַׁלְּחָ֖הּ

[and the signs of] virginity

for the young woman

(lan·na·‘ă·rāh.

(לַֽנַּעֲרָֽה׃

Then they shall bring out

wə·hō·w·ṣî·’ū

וְהוֹצִ֨יאוּ

the young woman

(han·na·‘ă·rāh

(הַֽנַּעֲרָ֜ה

of her father

and shall stone

ū·sə·qā·lū·hā

וּסְקָלוּהָ֩

of her city her

bā·’ă·ḇā·nîm

בָּאֲבָנִים֙

that she die

she has worked

bə·yiś·rā·’êl,

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

of her father

וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥

miq·qir·be·ḵā.

מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃

with a married

to a husband

then of them die

they shall both

[both] the man

and the women

wə·hā·’iš·šāh;

וְהָאִשָּׁ֑ה

so shall you put away

וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥

mî·yiś·rā·’êl.

מִיִּשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

a young woman

[that is] a virgin

mə·’ō·rā·śāh

Then you shall bring them

wə·hō·w·ṣê·ṯem

וְהוֹצֵאתֶ֨ם

of that city

and you shall stone

ū·sə·qal·tem

וּסְקַלְתֶּ֨ם

bā·’ă·ḇā·nîm

בָּאֲבָנִים֮

that they die

the young woman

(han·na·‘ă·rāh,

(הַֽנַּעֲרָ֗ה

do she cried

[being] in the city

he has humbled

of his neighbor

so you shall put away

וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥

miq·qir·be·ḵā.

מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃

in the field

(han·na·‘ă·rāh

(הַֽנַּעֲרָה֙

ham·’ō·rā·śāh,

הַמְאֹ֣רָשָׂ֔ה

wə·he·ḥĕ·zîq-

וְהֶחֱזִֽיק־

then her shall die

[wə·lan·na·‘ar

But to the young woman

(wə·lan·na·‘ă·rāh

(וְלַֽנַּעֲרָה֙

you shall do

in the young woman

(lan·na·‘ă·rāh

(לַֽנַּעֲרָ֖ה

[worthy] of death

his neighbor

in the field

(han·na·‘ă·rāh

(הַֽנַּעֲרָה֙

the betrothed

ham·’ō·rā·śāh,

הַמְאֹ֣רָשָׂ֔ה

[there was] to save

a young woman

[that is] a virgin

do betrothed

and lay hold

ū·ṯə·p̄ā·śāh

וּתְפָשָׂ֖הּ

and they are found

wə·nim·ṣā·’ū.

וְנִמְצָֽאוּ׃

Then with her shall give

of the damsel

(han·na·‘ă·rāh

(הַֽנַּעֲרָ֖ה

[shekels] of silver

she shall be

he has humbled

put her away

of his father

of his father
