וּשְׁמוּאֵל֙

to the sword

for the famine

and I will appoint

וּפָקַדְתִּ֨י

miš·pā·ḥō·wṯ

מִשְׁפָּחוֹת֙

hak·kə·lā·ḇîm

הַכְּלָבִ֖ים

of the heaven

haš·šā·ma·yim

הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם

of the earth

ū·lə·haš·ḥîṯ.

וּלְהַשְׁחִֽית׃

and I will cause

ū·nə·ṯat·tîm

וּנְתַתִּ֣ים

(lə·za·‘ă·wāh,

(לְזַֽעֲוָ֔ה

mam·lə·ḵō·wṯ

of the earth

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙

[that] he did

in Jerusalem

bî·rū·šā·lim.

בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

shall have pity

yə·rū·šā·lim,

יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

shall bemoan

and thee? or who

shall go aside

have forsaken

you are gone

therefore will I stretch out

you and destroy

wā·’aš·ḥî·ṯêḵ,

וָֽאַשְׁחִיתֵ֔ךְ

you I am weary

with repenting

And I will fan them

At the gates

בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֣י

I will bereave

שִׁכַּ֤לְתִּי

I will destroy

אִבַּ֙דְתִּי֙

of their ways

mid·dar·ḵê·hem

מִדַּרְכֵיהֶ֖ם

do [since] they return

are increased

’al·mə·nō·ṯāw

אַלְמְנֹתָו֙

to me above the sand

I have brought

baṣ·ṣā·ho·rā·yim;

בַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם

[him] I have caused to fall

הִפַּ֤לְתִּי

ū·ḇe·hā·lō·wṯ.

וּבֶהָלֽוֹת׃

She that has borne

haš·šiḇ·‘āh,

הַשִּׁבְעָ֗ה

she has given up

is gone down

she has been ashamed

and confounded

wə·ḥā·p̄ê·rāh;

and the residue

ū·šə·’ê·rî·ṯām,

וּשְׁאֵֽרִיתָ֗ם

to the sword

of them will I deliver

their enemies

’ō·yə·ḇê·hem

you have borne me

yə·liḏ·ti·nî,

יְלִדְתִּ֗נִי

of contention

do lent on interest

men have lent to me on interest

[yet] of them does curse

mə·qal·la·w·nî.

מְקַלְלַֽונִי׃

[šā·rō·w·ṯi·ḵā

(šê·rî·ṯî·ḵā

(שֵֽׁרִיתִ֖יךָ

for [purposes of] good

הִפְגַּ֣עְתִּֽי

to you In a time

and in the time

of affliction

I will cause the enemy

from the north

miṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn

and the steel

ū·nə·ḥō·šeṯ.

וּנְחֹֽשֶׁת׃

your possessions

and your treasures

wə·’ō·wṣ·rō·w·ṯe·ḵā

וְאוֹצְרוֹתֶ֛יךָ

[that] your sins

ḥaṭ·ṭō·w·ṯe·ḵā

חַטֹּאותֶ֖יךָ

and even in all

your borders

gə·ḇū·le·ḵā.

גְּבוּלֶֽיךָ׃

[thee] And I will make to pass

wə·ha·‘ă·ḇar·tî

וְהַֽעֲבַרְתִּי֙

your enemies

’ō·yə·ḇe·ḵā,

do [which] you know

yā·ḏā·‘ə·tā;

[which] shall burn

and visit me

ū·p̄ā·qə·ḏê·nî

וּפָקְדֵ֙נִי֙

wə·hin·nā·qem

for me on my persecutors me

mê·rō·ḏə·p̄ay,

away in your patience

tiq·qā·ḥê·nî;

תִּקָּחֵ֑נִי

your sake I have suffered

and I did eat

wā·’ō·ḵə·lêm,

[ḏə·ḇā·re·ḵā

and your word

(ḏə·ḇā·rə·ḵā

for me a joy

and rejoicing

ū·lə·śim·ḥaṯ

וּלְשִׂמְחַ֣ת

by your name

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ.

יָשַׁ֥בְתִּי

in the circle

of merrymakers

mə·śa·ḥă·qîm

מְשַׂחֲקִ֖ים

of your hand

יָשַׁ֔בְתִּי

with indignation

For You filled

mil·lê·ṯā·nî.

מִלֵּאתָֽנִי׃

and my wound

[which] refuses

to be healed

will you be altogether

[and as] waters

ne·’ĕ·mā·nū.

then will I bring you again

wa·’ă·šî·ḇə·ḵā

וַאֲשִֽׁיבְךָ֙

you shall stand

you take forth

the precious

from the worthless

miz·zō·w·lêl

you shall be

let them return

They for their part

do but return

and I will make

ū·nə·ṯat·tî·ḵā

וּנְתַתִּ֜יךָ

and they shall fight

wə·nil·ḥă·mū

וְנִלְחֲמ֥וּ

but they shall

lə·hō·wō·šî·‘ă·ḵā

לְהוֹשִֽׁיעֲךָ֥

you and to deliver you

ū·lə·haṣ·ṣî·le·ḵā

וּלְהַצִּילֶ֖ךָ

And I will deliver you

wə·hiṣ·ṣal·tî·ḵā

וְהִצַּלְתִּ֖יךָ

out of the hand

of the wicked

and I will redeem you

ū·p̄ə·ḏi·ṯî·ḵā

וּפְדִתִ֖יךָ

out of the hand

of the terrible
