הַדְּבָרִ֖ים

wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙

and inhabitants

of Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim;

יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

I will bring

ham·mā·qō·wm

shall tingle

תִּצַּ֥לְנָה

they have forsaken me

‘ă·zā·ḇu·nî,

and have estranged

way·nak·kə·rū

וַֽיְנַכְּר֞וּ

ham·mā·qō·wm

and have burned incense

way·qaṭ·ṭə·rū-

וַיְקַטְּרוּ־

in it to other

nor their fathers

wa·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·hem

וַאֲבֽוֹתֵיהֶ֖ם

nor the kings

and have filled

ham·mā·qō·wm

with the blood

of innocents

and They have build

also the high places

[for] burnt offerings

do I commanded

דִבַּ֔רְתִּי

neither [it]

lam·mā·qō·wm

nor The valley

of Ben-hinnom

of slaughter

ha·hă·rê·ḡāh.

and I will make void

wî·rū·šā·lim

וִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙

bam·mā·qō·wm

and I will cause them to fall

wə·hip·pal·tîm

וְהִפַּלְתִּ֤ים

by the sword

their enemies

’ō·yə·ḇê·hem,

אֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֔ם

and by the hands

of those who seek

and will I give

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

their carcasses

lə·ma·’ă·ḵāl,

for the birds

of the heaven

haš·šā·ma·yim

הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם

for the beasts

ū·lə·ḇe·hĕ·maṯ

וּלְבֶהֱמַ֥ת

of the earth

And I will make

וְשַׂמְתִּי֙

and a hissing

wə·liš·rê·qāh;

וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֑ה

shall be astonished

mak·kō·ṯe·hā.

And I will cause them to eat

wə·ha·’ă·ḵal·tîm

וְהַֽאֲכַלְתִּ֞ים

of their sons

of their daughters

bə·nō·ṯê·hem,

בְּנֹתֵיהֶ֔ם

and every one

of his friend

they shall eat

in the siege

and narrow place

ū·ḇə·mā·ṣō·wq,

shall straiten

’ō·yə·ḇê·hem

and they who seek

וּמְבַקְשֵׁ֥י

Then shall you break

wə·šā·ḇar·tā

וְשָׁבַרְתָּ֖

hab·baq·buq;

הַבַּקְבֻּ֑ק

in the sight

hā·’ă·nā·šîm,

הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים

ha·hō·lə·ḵîm

And shall say

wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָמַרְתָּ֨

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

will I break

[one] breaks

hay·yō·w·ṣêr,

be made whole

lə·hê·rā·p̄êh

[them] in Tophet

ū·ḇə·ṯō·p̄eṯ

they shall bury

[there be] place

lam·mā·qō·wm

and to the inhabitants

ū·lə·yō·wō·šə·ḇāw;

וּלְיֽוֹשְׁבָ֑יו

And shall be

of Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim,

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם

and the houses

of the kings

as the place

haṭ·ṭə·mê·’îm;

הַטְּמֵאִ֑ים

because of all

hab·bāt·tîm,

they have burned incense

gag·gō·ṯê·hem

גַּגֹּֽתֵיהֶם֙

haš·šā·ma·yim,

הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם

and have poured out

drink offerings

yir·mə·yā·hū

יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙

from Topheth

mê·hat·tō·p̄eṯ,

מֵֽהַתֹּ֔פֶת

lə·hin·nā·ḇê;

and he stood

way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ

וַֽיַּעֲמֹד֙

in the court

I will bring

I have pronounced

דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי

they have hardened

that they might not
