וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע

and who [was]

in the house

that Jeremiah

yir·mə·yā·hū,

יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֥ים

yir·mə·yā·hū

יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ

ham·mah·pe·ḵeṯ,

הַמַּהְפֶּ֗כֶת

of Benjamin [were]

hā·‘el·yō·wn,

הָֽעֶלְי֔וֹן

by the house

And it came to pass

On the next day

mim·mā·ḥo·rāṯ,

מִֽמָּחֳרָ֔ת

that brought forth

yir·mə·yā·hū

יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ

on the next day

ham·mah·pā·ḵeṯ;

הַמַּהְפָּ֑כֶת

yir·mə·yā·hū,

יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ

Magor-missabib

I will make you

your friends

’ō·hă·ḇe·ḵā,

and they shall fall

wə·nā·p̄ə·lū

by the sword

of their enemies

’ō·yə·ḇê·hem

and your eyes

shall behold

and I will give

and he shall carry them captive

and shall slay them

with the sword

Moreover I will deliver

wə·nā·ṯat·tî,

the strength

the precious things

the treasures

of the kings

into the hand

of their enemies

’ō·yə·ḇê·hem,

אֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֔ם

and that shall spoil them

and take them

ū·lə·qā·ḥūm,

and carry them

we·hĕ·ḇî·’ūm

וֶהֱבִיא֖וּם

in your house

into captivity

and to Babylon

you shall come

you shall die

shall be buried

your friends

’ō·hă·ḇe·ḵā,

you have prophesied

בַּשָּֽׁקֶר׃

have deceived

pit·tî·ṯa·nî

פִּתִּיתַ֤נִי

and I was deceived

you are stronger

ḥă·zaq·ta·nî

חֲזַקְתַּ֖נִי

and have prevailed

and a derision

wə·’ā·mar·tî

וְאָמַרְתִּ֣י

do make mention

’ez·kə·ren·nū,

אֶזְכְּרֶ֗נּוּ

[his word] in my heart

as a burning

bə·‘aṣ·mō·ṯāy;

בְּעַצְמֹתָ֑י

and I was weary

wə·nil·’ê·ṯî

וְנִלְאֵ֥יתִי

שָׁמַ֜עְתִּי

the defaming

[say they] and we will report

wə·nag·gî·ḏen·nū,

וְנַגִּידֶ֔נּוּ

for my halting

[saying] he will be enticed

and we shall prevail

wə·nū·ḵə·lāh

and we shall take

niq·mā·ṯê·nū

נִקְמָתֵ֖נוּ

on every side

But the LORD

[is] me as a mighty

kə·ḡib·bō·wr

terrible one

my persecutors

shall stumble

yik·kā·šə·lū

יִכָּשְׁל֖וּ

they shall be greatly

הִשְׂכִּ֔ילוּ

[their] everlasting

be forgotten

ṯiš·šā·ḵê·aḥ.

תִשָּׁכֵֽחַ׃

the righteous

and the heart

your vengeance

niq·mā·ṯə·ḵā

נִקְמָֽתְךָ֙

you have I opened

he has delivered

From the hand

of evildoers

Cursed [are]

יֻלַּ֖דְתִּי

yə·lā·ḏaṯ·nî

יְלָדַ֥תְנִי

Cursed [are]

brought news

to my father

śim·mo·ḥā·hū.

שִׂמֳּחָֽהוּ׃

as the cities

And let him hear

in the morning

and the shouting

ṣā·ho·rā·yim.

from the womb

and might have been

or that my mother

and her womb

[to be] always

from the womb

came I forth

wə·yā·ḡō·wn;

and should be consumed

that my days
