of Jehoiakim

lî·hō·w·yā·qîm

לִיהוֹיָקִ֥ים

יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ

yir·mə·yā·hū,

יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ

wə·ḵā·ṯaḇ·tā

וְכָתַבְתָּ֣

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֞ים

I have spoken

דִּבַּ֧רְתִּי

hag·gō·w·yim;

from the day

דִּבַּ֤רְתִּי

from the days

yō·šî·yā·hū,

יֹאשִׁיָּ֔הוּ

It may be that

to the end that

they may return

מִדַּרְכּ֣וֹ

from his evil

that I may forgive

wə·sā·laḥ·tî

וְסָלַחְתִּ֥י

their iniquity

la·‘ă·wō·nām

and their sin

ū·lə·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯām.

וּלְחַטָּאתָֽם׃

yir·mə·yā·hū,

יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ

וַיִּכְתֹּ֨ב

at the dictation

yir·mə·yā·hū,

יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ

He had spoken

And commanded

yir·mə·yā·hū,

יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ

into the house

Therefore go

from the scroll

ḇam·mə·ḡil·lāh

בַמְּגִלָּ֣ה

you have written

כָּתַֽבְתָּ־

at my dictation

of the people

And also them

from their cities

mê·‘ā·rê·hem

you shall read

תִּקְרָאֵֽם׃

they will present

their supplication

tə·ḥin·nā·ṯām

תְּחִנָּתָם֙

and will return

מִדַּרְכּ֣וֹ

from his evil

[is] the anger

that the fury

wə·ha·ḥê·māh,

has pronounced

according to all

yir·mə·yā·hū

יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ

the prophet him

from the book

And it came to pass

ha·ḥă·mi·šîṯ

הַ֠חֲמִשִׁית

of Jehoiakim

lî·hō·w·yā·qîm

לִיהוֹיָקִ֨ים

יֹאשִׁיָּ֤הוּ

in the month

hat·tə·ši·‘î,

הַתְּשִׁעִ֔י

[that] they proclaimed

in Jerusalem

bî·rū·šā·lim;

בִּירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

from the cities

to Jerusalem

bî·rū·šā·lim.

בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

from the book

yir·mə·yā·hū

יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ

in the house

in the chamber

בְּלִשְׁכַּ֡ת

gə·mar·yā·hū

גְּמַרְיָהוּ֩

in the higher

hā·‘el·yō·wn,

at the entry

when had heard

way·yiš·ma‘,

וַ֠יִּשְׁמַ֗ע

gə·mar·yā·hū

גְּמַרְיָ֧הוּ

has·sê·p̄er.

Then he went down

of the scribe

has·sō·p̄êr,

yō·wō·šə·ḇîm;

יֽוֹשְׁבִ֑ים

[even] Elishama

’ĕ·lî·šā·mā‘

אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע

ū·ḏə·lā·yā·hū

וּדְלָיָ֣הוּ

שְׁ֠מַעְיָהוּ

and Elnathan

wə·’el·nā·ṯān

וְאֶלְנָתָ֨ן

and Gemariah

ū·ḡə·mar·yā·hū

וּגְמַרְיָ֧הוּ

and Zedekiah

wə·ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū

וְצִדְקִיָּ֥הוּ

ḥă·nan·yā·hū

חֲנַנְיָ֖הוּ

הַשָּׂרִֽים׃

and declared

Then Michaiah

mi·ḵā·yə·hū,

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֖ים

he had heard

from the book

of the people

way·yiš·lə·ḥū

וַיִּשְׁלְח֨וּ

of Nethaniah

nə·ṯan·yā·hū

נְ֠תַנְיָהוּ

of Shelemiah

še·lem·yā·hū

שֶׁלֶמְיָ֣הוּ

ham·mə·ḡil·lāh,

הַמְּגִלָּ֗ה

you have read

of the people

in your hand

ham·mə·ḡil·lāh

הַמְּגִלָּה֙

And they said

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ

ū·qə·rā·’en·nāh

וּקְרָאֶ֖נָּה

it in our ears

bə·’ā·zə·nê·nū;

בְּאָזְנֵ֑ינוּ

So Baruch [it]

in their ears

bə·’ā·zə·nê·hem.

בְּאָזְנֵיהֶֽם׃

Now it came to pass

when they had heard

kə·šā·mə·‘ām

כְּשָׁמְעָם֙

had·də·ḇā·rîm,

הַדְּבָרִ֔ים

they were afraid

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙

We will surely

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֖ים

did you write

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֥ים

at his mouth

and answered

Then Baruch me

with his mouth them

He pronounced

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֖ים

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ

and Jeremiah

wə·yir·mə·yā·hū;

וְיִרְמְיָ֑הוּ

And they went in

into the court

הַמְּגִלָּ֣ה

but they laid up

in the chamber

בְּלִשְׁכַּ֖ת

’ĕ·lî·šā·mā‘

אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע

has·sō·p̄êr;

way·yag·gî·ḏū

וַיַּגִּ֙ידוּ֙

had·də·ḇā·rîm.

הַדְּבָרִֽים׃

וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח

ham·mə·ḡil·lāh,

הַמְּגִלָּ֔ה

way·yiq·qā·ḥe·hā,

וַיִּ֨קָּחֶ֔הָ

מִלִּשְׁכַּ֖ת

it out of Elishama

’ĕ·lî·šā·mā‘

אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע

of the scribe

has·sō·p̄êr;

way·yiq·rā·’e·hā

וַיִּקְרָאֶ֤הָ

it in the ears

and in the ears

ū·ḇə·’ā·zə·nê

וּבְאָזְנֵי֙

as well as to all

hā·‘ō·mə·ḏîm

Now the king

wə·ham·me·leḵ,

וְהַמֶּ֗לֶךְ

in the winter

in the month

hat·tə·šî·‘î;

הַתְּשִׁיעִ֑י

[there was a fire] and on the hearth

with [a fire] burning

mə·ḇō·‘ā·reṯ.

And it came to pass

[that] When Jehudi

wə·’ar·bā·‘āh

וְאַרְבָּעָה֒

yiq·rā·‘e·hā

יִֽקְרָעֶ֙הָ֙

it with the penknife

has·sō·p̄êr,

וְהַשְׁלֵ֕ךְ

was consumed

ham·mə·ḡil·lāh,

הַמְּגִלָּ֔ה

their garments

בִּגְדֵיהֶ֑ם

[neither] the king

of his servants

haš·šō·mə·‘îm,

הַשֹּׁ֣מְעִ֔ים

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֖ים

And Nevertheless

ū·ḏə·lā·yā·hū

וּדְלָיָ֤הוּ

and Gemariah

ū·ḡə·mar·yā·hū

וּגְמַרְיָ֙הוּ֙

had made intercession

with the king

that he would not

ham·mə·ḡil·lāh;

הַמְּגִלָּ֑ה

but he would not

But commanded

yə·raḥ·mə·’êl

יְרַחְמְאֵ֨ל

of Hammelech

še·lem·yā·hū

שֶֽׁלֶמְיָ֙הוּ֙

has·sō·p̄êr,

yir·mə·yā·hū

יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ

way·yas·ti·rêm

וַיַּסְתִּרֵ֖ם

yir·mə·yā·hū;

יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ

ham·mə·ḡil·lāh

הַמְּגִלָּה֙

had·də·ḇā·rîm,

הַדְּבָרִ֔ים

at the dictation

yir·mə·yā·hū

יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ

הַדְּבָרִים֙

hā·ri·šō·nîm,

הָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ים

ham·mə·ḡil·lāh

הַמְּגִלָּה֙

hā·ri·šō·nāh,

הָרִ֣אשֹׁנָ֔ה

yə·hō·w·yā·qîm

יְהוֹיָקִ֥ים

yə·hō·w·yā·qîm

יְהוֹיָקִ֤ים

you shall say

ham·mə·ḡil·lāh

הַמְּגִלָּ֤ה

have you written

shall certainly

on it that the king

וְהִשְׁחִית֙

and shall cause to cease

וְהִשְׁבִּ֥ית

ū·ḇə·hê·māh.

yə·hō·w·yā·qîm

יְהֽוֹיָקִים֙

He shall have

and his dead body

wə·niḇ·lā·ṯōw

וְנִבְלָתוֹ֙

and to the frost

wə·laq·qe·raḥ

of the night

bal·lā·yə·lāh.

בַּלָּֽיְלָה׃

and I will punish

ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî

וּפָקַדְתִּ֨י

and his offspring

his servants

for their iniquity

and I will bring

the inhabitants

of Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֜ם

I have pronounced

דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי

do they listened

Then Jeremiah

wə·yir·mə·yā·hū

וְיִרְמְיָ֜הוּ

way·yit·tə·nāh

וַֽיִּתְּנָהּ֮

and who wrote

וַיִּכְתֹּ֤ב

on it at the dictation
