[A Psalm] of David

because of evildoers

bam·mə·rê·‘îm;

בַּמְּרֵעִ֑ים

be You envious

against the workers

like the grass

they shall soon

and as the green

yib·bō·w·lūn.

יִבּוֹלֽוּן׃

[so] shall You dwell

and You shall be fed

wə·hiṯ·‘an·naḡ

וְהִתְעַנַּ֥ג

and he shall give

of Your heart

shall bring to pass

And he shall bring forth

as the light

Your righteousness

and Your judgment

ū·miš·pā·ṭe·ḵā,

וּ֝מִשְׁפָּטֶ֗ךָ

as the noonday

kaṣ·ṣā·ho·rā·yim.

כַּֽצָּהֳרָֽיִם׃

and wait patiently

wə·hiṯ·ḥō·w·lêl

וְהִתְח֪וֹלֵ֫ל

fret not yourself

because of him who prospers

bə·maṣ·lî·aḥ

בְּמַצְלִ֣יחַ

because of the man

wicked devices

mə·zim·mō·wṯ.

fret not yourself

to evildoing

lə·hā·rê·a‘.

shall be cut off

yik·kā·rê·ṯūn;

יִכָּרֵת֑וּן

but those who wait on

shall inherit

you shall diligently consider

wə·hiṯ·bō·w·nan·tā

וְהִתְבּוֹנַ֖נְתָּ

for his place

wə·’ê·nen·nū.

וְאֵינֶֽנּוּ׃

But the meek

wa·‘ă·nā·wîm

shall inherit

and shall delight themselves

wə·hiṯ·‘an·nə·ḡū,

וְ֝הִתְעַנְּג֗וּ

the abundance

against the righteous

laṣ·ṣad·dîq;

with his teeth

have drawn out

and have bent

wə·’eḇ·yō·wn;

liṭ·ḇō·w·aḥ,

such as be of upright

conversation

into their own heart

and their bows

wə·qaš·šə·ṯō·w·ṯām,

וְ֝קַשְּׁתוֹתָ֗ם

shall be broken

tiš·šā·ḇar·nāh.

תִּשָּׁבַֽרְנָה׃

[is] man has better

of the righteous

laṣ·ṣad·dîq;

than the riches

mê·hă·mō·wn,

zə·rō·w·‘ō·wṯ

of the wicked

shall be broken

tiš·šā·ḇar·nāh;

תִּשָּׁבַ֑רְנָה

the righteous

but the LORD

of the upright

and their inheritance

wə·na·ḥă·lā·ṯām,

וְ֝נַחֲלָתָ֗ם

do be ashamed

and in the days

they shall be satisfied

יִשְׂבָּֽעוּ׃

רְשָׁעִ֨ים ׀

shall perish

and the enemies

[shall be] as the fat

of the pastures

they shall consume

shall they consume away

but the righteous

wə·nō·w·ṯên.

those blessed

mə·ḇō·rā·ḵāw

of him shall inherit

[they that be] and cursed

ū·mə·qul·lā·lāw,

וּ֝מְקֻלָּלָ֗יו

of him shall be cut off

yik·kā·rê·ṯū.

יִכָּרֵֽתוּ׃

[good] of a man

and in his way

do be utterly cast down

[him with] his hand

[now] am old

זָ֫קַ֥נְתִּי

the righteous

nor his offspring

[He is] ever

and his offspring

[is] blessed

lə·‘ō·w·lām.

they are preserved

but the offspring

of the wicked

shall be cut off

The righteous

shall inherit

wə·yiš·kə·nū

וְיִשְׁכְּנ֖וּ

in it forever

of the righteous

and his tongue

ū·lə·šō·w·nōw,

וּ֝לְשׁוֹנ֗וֹ

[is] in his heart

of his steps

upon the righteous

laṣ·ṣad·dîq;

ū·mə·ḇaq·qêš,

וּ֝מְבַקֵּ֗שׁ

la·hă·mî·ṯōw

do leave him

ya·‘az·ḇen·nū

יַעַזְבֶ֣נּוּ

yar·šî·‘en·nū,

יַ֝רְשִׁיעֶ֗נּוּ

when he is judged

bə·hiš·šā·p̄ə·ṭōw.

בְּהִשָּׁפְטֽוֹ׃

he shall exalt

wî·rō·w·mim·ḵā

וִֽ֭ירוֹמִמְךָ

you to inherit

bə·hik·kā·rêṯ

בְּהִכָּרֵ֖ת

when the wicked

you shall see

in great power

and spreading himself

ū·miṯ·‘ā·reh,

וּ֝מִתְעָרֶ֗ה

like a green

and Yet he passed away

way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr

וַ֭יַּֽעֲבֹר

do I sought him

wā·’ă·ḇaq·šê·hū,

וָֽ֝אֲבַקְשֵׁ֗הוּ

but he could not

[man] and behold

But the transgressors

ū·p̄ō·šə·‘îm

וּֽ֭פֹשְׁעִים

shall be destroyed

of the wicked

shall be cut off

But the salvation

וּתְשׁוּעַ֣ת

of the righteous

[is] of the LORD

[he is] their strength

מָֽ֝עוּזָּ֗ם

And shall help

way·ya‘·zə·rêm

וַֽיַּעְזְרֵ֥ם

the LORD them

way·p̄al·lə·ṭêm

וַֽיְפַ֫לְּטֵ֥ם

he shall deliver them

yə·p̄al·lə·ṭêm

from the wicked

mê·rə·šā·‘îm

מֵ֭רְשָׁעִים

and save them

wə·yō·wō·šî·‘êm;

וְיוֹשִׁיעֵ֑ם
