2. εἰ δή ποτε if ever, Il. 1.40.

3. with interrog., τί δή ποτε; what in the world? what or why now? καίτοι τί δή ποτε; D. 4.35; πόσοι δή ποτ' εἰσὶν οἱ..; how many do you suppose? Id. 20.21.

4. esp. freq. with relatives, ὅτι δή κοτε πράξαντα Hdt. 6.134; ὅστις δ. ὤν Pl. Phdr. 273c; ὅτι δή ποτε whatever it may be, 'so-and-so', D. 21.32; ὁπόθεν δ. Thayer's Expanded Definition

δήποτε (from δή and πότε), adverb, now at length (jam aliquando); at any time; at last, etc., just exactly; (hence, it generalizes a relative, like the Latincumque; see Lob. ad Phryn., p. 373): δήποτε νοσήματι, with whatsoever disease, John 5:4 (R G, but L ὁιωδηποτουν).

For δήποτε, as in John 5:4 (whether we read οἵῳ δηποτοῦν with A or ᾧ δήποτε with ω) cf. P Lond 904.22 (A.D. 104) (= III. p. 125) καθ᾽ ἥ ̣[ντινα ] δήποτε αἰτ [ίαν, P Tebt II. 381.14 (A.D. 123) καθ᾽ ὃν δήποτε οὖν τρόπον.
