I make sufficient, qualify, 2 Corinthians 3:6 : — Pass., to be empowered, PTeb. 20.8 (ii B.C.); to be made complete, brought to perfection, of the soul, τῷ περιέχοντι Hierocl. p.9A.
II Pass., to be satisfied, content, τινι D.H. 2.74: abs., Teles p.39 H., cf. LXX Ma. 3.10; ἱκανούσθω ὑμῖν, c. inf., let it suffice you.., i.e. do it no more, LXX 1 Kings 12:28, al.: abs., ib. Numbers 16:7.
