Mete. 367a32; μὴ βούλεσθε εἰς ὑμᾶς τὴν αἰτίαν -τρέψαι Lys. 6.13; γυναῖκάς φασι τοῖς ἀνδράσι περιτρέπειν τὰ σφέτερ' αὐτῶν ἁμαρτήματα Aristid. 2.420 J.; εἰς τοὐναντίον τὸν λόγον Eus.Mynd. 2; ἐπὶ θάτερα Aristid. 1.112 J.; τὸ σφάλμα εἰς ἄλλο μακρῷ αἰσιώτερον περιετράπη Luc. Laps. 15; ὁ λόγος εἰς ὄνειδος -τέτραπται Plu. 2.1036f; π. τινὰ εἰς μανίαν, εἰς χαράν, Acts 26:24, J. Thayer's Expanded Definition

περιτρέπω; to turn about (περί, III. 1), to turn; to transfer or change by turning: τί or τινα εἰς τί, a person or thing into some state; once so in the N. T. viz. σε εἰς μανίαν περιτρέπει, is turning thee mad, Acts 26:24; τούς παρόντας εἰς χαράν περιεστρεψε, Josephus, Antiquities 9, 4, 4; τό θεῖον εἰς ὀργήν περιτραπεν, 2, 14, 1. In various other uses in Greek authors (from Lysias, and Plato on).
