practise beforehand, ἃ δεῖλέγειν Ar. Ec. 117; τὴν μέθοδον Pl. Sph. 218d: c. inf., π. ἐλαύνειν X. Ath. 1.20: abs., Ar. Th. 1177, Plb. 10.47.3 .

2. acquire a habit of, c. inf., Diocl.Fr. 27: Pass., τὸ μὴ -ηθέν that to which one is not accustomed, Sor. 1.26 .

II Medic., to be threatening, of disease (cf. μελετάω 11.6 ), in Med., Ruf. Fr. 61(2).

P Petr III. 42 H (8f.).6 (B.C. 250) (= Witkowski.2, p. 15) οἱ πρωῒ παραγενόμενοι, P Par 35.17 (B.C. 163) (= UPZ i. p. 130) ἐπιστρέψας πρωΐ, and ib. 37i. 20 (B.C. 163) (= UPZ i. p. 128) πρωεί. The adverbial τὸ πρωΐ, which is common in the LXX (Genesis 40:6 al.) and is used in MGr, is found in PSI IV. 402.10 (iii/B.C.) καὶ γὰρ τὸ πρωὶ εὐθέως παρακάθ ̣η ̣νται τῆι φακῆι πωλοῦντες τὰς κολυκύνθας.
