";shine,"; ";glisten"; (Mark 9:3) : cf. Kaibel 918.1 Μαρ ̣κιανοῦ στίλβει τύπος Ἑλλάδος ἀνθυπάτοιο, ib. 810.3 ναοί μοι στίλβουσιν ὑπ᾽ ᾐόνος. In the epithalamium P Masp III. 67318.3 (Byz.) reference is made to σε ̣μ ̣ν ̣ὸν ἀεὶ στίλβοντα γάμον. See also Bacchyl. XVII. 55 ὀμμάτων δὲ στίλβειν ἄπο Λαμνίαν φοίνισσαν φλόγα, ";a fiery light, as of the Lemnian flame, flashes from his eyes"; (Jebb).
