P. Giss I. 47.14 ff. (Hadrian) παραζώ [ν ]ιον γὰρ πρὸς τὸ παρὸν γνήσιον οὐχ εὑρε ̣θ ̣η, ἀλλ᾽ οὐδ ̣ὲ ἐδικαίωσα ἀγοράσαι ἀποδοκιμασθῆναι δυνάμενον, ";a girdle-dagger suitable for the present purpose has not been found, and I have not thought it right to buy one that might be rejected."; On the use in 1 Peter 2:7 of the LXX ἀποδοκιμάζω instead of ἐξουθενέω as in Acts 4:11 for the Heb מָאַם in MT Psalms 118:22, as indicating a progress on Peter’s part in Greek ways and speech, see Ramsay Pauline Studies, p. 254 f.
