In P Oxy I. 71ii. 3 (A.D. 303) a Prefect is praised as rendering to all their due—πᾶσι τὰ ἴ [δ ]ια ἀπονέμις : cf. ib. IX. 1185.6 (c. A.D. 200) τ ̣ὰς περὶ τῶν γυμνασιαρχιῶν καὶ ἀγορανομιῶν ἐφέσις τοῖς κρατίστοις ἐπιστρατήγοις ἀπένειμα, the ";assigning"; of appeals to the strategi.
