אִדַּר Ch. a threshing floor, Daniel 2:35. Syr. ܙܶܕܪܳܙ, Arab. أَنْدَرُ. The root is [“according to some,” Ges. add.] נָדַר i.q. רדנ to fall out, as applied to the grains which are beaten out from the ears in threshing [“but in Arabic اندر the nd seems to be for dd,” Ges. add.].
