1198) nu (תהנ ThN) AC: Weave CO: Basket AB: ?: The pictograph u is a picture of a basket, the n is a picture of a seed that represents continuance. Combined these mean "basket continues". A tapestry or basket as woven items.

אֵטוּן (by a Syriacism for אֱטוּן) m., thread, yarn, of linen or cotton, Garn (Ch. string, cord). Once found, Proverbs 7:16, “coverings of Egyptian thread,” which was of the greatest fineness, and as highly esteemed as Turkish yarn is now (Türkifches Garn) in Germany. Compare Cels. Hierob. i., 89, seq. Alb. Schultens compares Gr. ὀθόνη, ὀθόνιον (linen garment). Root אָטַן.
