לָבַן
(1) to be white, unused in Kal, see לָבָן, לְבָנָה.
(2) denom. from לְבֵנָה to make bricks, Genesis 11:3; Exodus 5:7, 14. (Arab. لَبَّنَ id.)
Hiphil
(1) trans. to make white, metaph. to purge, to cleanse from the filthiness of sins, Daniel 11:35.
(2) intrans. to be white (compare as to verbs of colour in Hiph., Heb. Gram. § 52, 2), Psalms 51:9; Isaiah 1:18; Joel 1:7.
Hithpael, to purge oneself [or, to be purged], Daniel 12:10.
The derivatives follow immediately, except מַלְבֵּן.
