Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

מִזְרָח (from the root זָרַח), the rising of the sun; always however used of the east, Psalms 103:12 מִזְרַח יְרִיחוֹ to the east of Jericho, Joshua 4:19. Towards the east is מִזְרָח (acc.) Nehemiah 12:37 מִזְרַח שֶׁמֶשׁ Deuteronomy 4:47 מִזְרָחָה Exodus 27:13, and מִזְרְחָה שֶׁמֶשׁ Deuteronomy 4:41.
