עָמִית (from the root עָמָה=עָמַם No. 1) m. (Levit. 19:17 )
(1) fellowship. Zechariah 13:7, גֶּבֶר עֲמִיתִי “the man of my fellowship,” i.e. my fellow, companion.
(2) abstr. for concr. i.q. רֵעַ ὁ πλησίον (der Nächfte, Mitmenfch), a neighbour, Lev. 5:21 18:20 with a masc. verb, Leviticus 19:15.
