פָּסִיל or פְּסִיל only in pl. פְּסִילִים.
(1) graven images of idols, Deuteronomy 7:25; Isaiah 21:9; Jeremiah 8:19, 51:52 made of wood, Deuteronomy 7:5, 25.
(2) perhaps stone quarries, like the Syriac ܦܣܝܺܠܝܺܢ (see 2 Kings 12:12 Pesh.), Judges 3:19, 26 Judges 3:26. Root פָּסַל.
