Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition
פֶּסֶל with suff. פִּסְלִי m. the graven image of an idol, Exodus 20:4; Judges 17:3, seq.; made of wood, Isaiah 44:15, 17 Isaiah 44:17, 45:20 and even used of a molten image (which is properly called מַסֵּכָה), Isaiah 40:19, 44:10 Jeremiah 10:14, 51:17. For the plur. פְּסִילִים is always used.
