Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

רַפְסֹדוֹת f. plur., rafts, 2 Chronicles 2:15 apparently a word of the later Hebrew for דֹּבְרוֹת 1 Kings 5:23 which appears to be compounded of רֶמֶשׁ (Arab. رَمَثُ, Eth. ርምስ፡) a raft; and רָפַד to spread; according to others of רמש and Talmud. אַסְדָּא a raft.
