בָּדַק

(1)  to cleave, to make breaches, whence בֶּדֶק. (Comp. under בָּדַד No I.)

(2) denom. from בֶּדֶק to repair breaches, to restore the ruins of a building; 2 Chronicles 34:10 Syr. ܒܕܰܩ and ܒܰܕܶܩ id.
