 [עָמִית] noun masculine Leviticus 18:20 associate, fellow, relation (perhaps originally feminine abstract association, compare מֶּחָה); — always suffix: גֶּבֶר עֲמִיתִי Zechariah 13:7 a man (who is) my fellow; elsewhere only Leviticus: עֲמִיתוֺ Zechariah 5:21 (twice in verse); reciprocal אִישׁ בַּעֲמִיתוֺ Zechariah 19:11; Zechariah 24:19, cf . Zechariah 25:17; עֲמִיתְךָ Zechariah 18:20, עֲמִיתֶ֑ךָ Zechariah 19:15; Zechariah 19:17; Zechariah 25:14 (twice in verse); Zechariah 25:15.

עָמִית (from the root עָמָה=עָמַם No. 1) m. (Levit. 19:17 )

(1)  fellowship. Zechariah 13:7, גֶּבֶר עֲמִיתִי “the man of my fellowship,” i.e. my fellow, companion.

(2) abstr. for concr. i.q. רֵעַ ὁ πλησίον (der Nächfte, Mitmenfch), a neighbour, Lev. 5:21 18:20 with a masc. verb, Leviticus 19:15.
