רָדַם not used in Kal, pr. to snore, to sleep heavily, an onomatop. word. Compare Gr. δαρθάνω, δέρθω (to snore), and the Lat. dormio.

Niphal נִרְדַּם

(1) to sleep heavily, Proverbs 10:5; Jonah 1:5, Jonah 1:6.

(2) to fall down astounded, Daniel 8:18, 10:9 Psalms 76:7. Compare Judges 4:21.
